British Airways Has prohibited its employees from engaging in a particular activity during stopovers as part of a new regulation.
Apparently, the airline has requested its staff to cease posting on social media during their stay at layover hotels.
Employees have additionally been instructed to delete any previously shared images taken at transit hotel stays from their social media profiles.

This indicates that an individual harboring malicious intent might examine the photograph’s details and subsequently identify the hotel’s whereabouts.
The updated regulations indicate that employees are not allowed to share selfies taken beside the pool or in a hotel restaurant during a layover anymore.
BA informed MailOnline Travel saying, "We prioritize the safety of our staff, and as a conscientious employer, we consistently seek ways to enhance their security."
It adheres to guidelines implemented in 2023 that prohibit employees from sharing images when they are officially representing their roles.


The policy prohibited employees from posting pictures of themselves in uniform when they were onboard the aircraft.
Dave Wallsworth, a British Airways pilot who has gained significant attention on social media platforms, mentioned back then that posting in-cabin pictures would no longer be possible for him .
On a post on X, he wrote: "Regrettably, because of recently released company policies, both myself and my coworkers won't be permitted to share posts while we're 'actively performing our duties' for British Airways."
