NEPSE Surges 23.19 Points as Index Rebounds From Four-Day Slump

Kathmandu, June 9 - The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 23.19 points on Monday, finishing at 2,653.09. This increase represents a growth of 0.88%, marking a shift following four successive sessions of decrease.

Among the traded companies, the stock prices of 191 went up, whereas those of 56 fell, with one remaining stable.

In 78,848 trades, a total of 17,501,802 shares were traded, resulting in a turnover of Rs8.69 billion. Even though the index showed an increase, the overall volume of trading dropped compared to Monday’s figure of Rs9.13 billion.

Out of the 13 trading sub-indices, the Hotels & Tourism, Life Insurance, and Trading sectors experienced declines, whereas the rest reported increases, leading to a significant two-figure growth in the overall index.
