- R-Truth made an impressive comeback at Money in the Bank on Saturday.
- A mere seven days earlier, it seemed as though his 17-year-long stint with WWE had come to an end.
R-Truth made an astonishing comeback to WWE Just days later, it became clear that his contract with the company would not be extended.
Ron Killings, formerly known as Truth, tearfully revealed last week that he was ending his almost twenty-year tenure with the company, joining several other notable departures.
"I regret to announce this news to everyone. I have been let go from WWE," the 53-year-old posted on X.
I want to express my gratitude to WWE for the journey, but primarily, I aim to thank every single one of you who joined me on this adventure.
'I appreciate all the love, support, and encouragement you've shown me throughout the years.'
The news sparked immediate criticism from supporters on social media platforms, where numerous individuals charged the organization with showing insufficient devotion to one of their most reliable contributors.

The departure of Truth was brief, though, as he reignited his rivalry with John Cena by interfering in the Undisputed WWE Champion's match at the Money in the Bank event on Saturday.
During the post-show press conference, WWE head honcho Triple H seemed to suggest that The Rock's contractual status was merely part of the performance.
However, a report from Fightful has disclosed that the circumstance was indeed genuine.
Informants revealed to the publication that Truth was dismissed in an "unfeeling and unemotional manner" and that he allegedly received this information from a staff member handling talents instead of being notified directly by higher-ups.
In the midst of considerable fan uproar, WWE reportedly reached out to Truth several times during the interim without receiving a reply. Eventually, WWE President Nick Khan stepped in and successfully negotiated a new contract with him.
It is reported that the agreement was finalized within 72 hours following Saturday's premium live event in Inglewood, California.
