VIDEO: My Lifelong Promise: Building 1,000 Churches Before I Die — Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo, who established the Living Faith Church Worldwide commonly referred to as Winners Chapel, has shared a private pledge to construct 1,000 places of worship before his time on Earth concludes.

During a recent sermon addressed to his congregation, Oyedepo shared how he pledged himself to God’s cause even prior to having a bank account, vowing to contribute to the establishment of churches for His kingdom.

Prior to having my initial savings account, I prayed, 'God, if you bestow your blessings upon me, I wish to contribute to the establishment of new churches.'

"How many of you have heard this before? You seem to know everything," he remarked.

He underscored his dedication by expressing his wish to leave behind a concrete legacy through acts of service on this planet.

He said, "I told Jesus, 'I don't intend to enter heaven unless a thousand churches have been constructed in your honor.'"

Oyedepo similarly urged his audience to contemplate their commitment and readiness to serve God, providing instances of underutilized assets as illustrations.

Some might not put their idle buses into service on Sundays.

"Since it costs ₦2,000 for half a liter, if you want it, then buy it," he stated.

As he motivated his audience to embrace their spiritual duties, he ended with, “It’s your turn now; you should wake up.”

May I share something with you? Everyone reflects the place they belong in.

It's time for you to begin contemplating what occurs within.
