Morocco's Continued Leadership in Ocean Science
Morocco has been unanimously re-elected to the Executive Council of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) for the 2025–2027 term. This significant achievement was announced during the 33rd session of the IOC Assembly, which took place at UNESCO headquarters from June 25 to July 3. The election highlights the country’s growing influence and commitment to global ocean science and marine governance.
