Mysterious Encounter Captured on Camera
A strange and unsettling event was recorded by a woman's doorbell camera, revealing what appeared to be an extraterrestrial being walking through her backyard. Jessica Ortiz, from Compton, California, shared the video on her Instagram account, showing a peculiar creature moving in her driveway and exiting through a back gate.
The short, blue alien had an elongated head, a tiny neck that seemed to emerge from its chest, and a protruding backbone. As the creature disappeared from view, the sound of Ortiz's gate slamming shut could be heard after the entity left her property.
Ortiz mentioned that the incident occurred around 1am PT and was only captured by her front door camera, despite having motion-activated cameras throughout her home. She explained that this was why they were certain it wasn't a person, as there was only one way in and one way out.
The situation became even more intriguing when Ortiz's aunt, who is also her next-door neighbor, reported hearing banging and scratching noises on her roof just 30 minutes before the creature was seen on camera. Ortiz shared that the video showed the creature appearing out of nowhere right before walking past the front door.
The encounter began when Ortiz received an alert on her Ring doorbell app. She asked her son to check the video, and he confirmed that it was an alien. He suggested calling the police, but Ortiz never actually did so.
"I was scared. At that moment, I didn't know what to do," she said. "I thought we would sound crazy if we called the police saying there's an alien in the backyard."
Although Ortiz didn't label the sighting as an alien, she expressed her belief that there are other living beings in the universe. The host of The Hidden Underbelly podcast, who remained unnamed, speculated that the creature was indeed an alien and belonged to a race known as 'the Greys' among UFO researchers.
He noted that alleged alien encounters have described two distinct species of Greys: one extremely tall and another short and oddly shaped. This particular 'alien,' which seemed to be no more than three or four feet tall, fit the description of the short Greys.
Both Ortiz and her teenage son were awake that night, but the YouTube host pointed out that it was unlikely a small child would be wandering the streets at 1am. He emphasized the unusual shape of the creature's head and its blue-grey color, which matched the typical appearance of the Greys.
In October 2023, Ring doorbell cameras, owned by Amazon, offered a $1 million grand prize for any US resident who provided 'unaltered scientific evidence of a real extraterrestrial lifeform.' The contest followed an influx of videos claiming to show extraterrestrial activity online. However, most of these sightings turned out to be meteors falling from the sky.
No one won the 2023 Ring contest, and Ortiz was asked about the offer. She stated that she would consider submitting her video if the companies were still accepting entries, noting that her footage had not been edited in any way.
